Before you Begin

These are guaranteed to be a huge hit! What little kid doesn’t love creepy crawly things?! We had a lot of fun finding and trying these activities.

This a great opportunity to begin explaining the definition of an insect:

    • One or two pairs of wings
    • Three Part Body (head, thorax, abdomen)
    • One pair of antennae
    • Compound Eyes
    • Six Legs

Examples include:

    • Ladybugs
    • Bees
    • Beetles
    • Crickets
    • Fireflies
    • Butterflies

**Please note: Spiders and worms are commonly mistaken for insects.

Hope you guys have as much fun with this as we did!
