Curious Little Kid: One Month Blog Recap
Launching Curious Little Kid
On June 9th 2013, Curious Little Kid went live. For the past month I’ve been trying to find my voice, an audience and the content to tie it together. While I had high hopes for the future of my blog, I’d never had guessed it would have grown as quickly as it did! Here’s a one month blog recap I’m proud to share:
- 30 posts
- 59,742 Visits
- 76,649 Pageviews
- Visited by people in 67 different countries
- 387 “likes” on Facebook
What Blogging Has Done For Me
Writing for Curious Little kid has been an exciting, fun and useful way to define myself and work introspectively. I would highly recommend blogging as an exercise to any parent (it’s fun to write like no one is reading and be surprised that someone actually does!). This site has built my confidence as a mother, helped me define my personal goals, and has given us new opportunities to experience fun and interesting things. I love that the richness of daily activities are amplified as they are shared with other people.
What does the future have in store for the blog? I will continue to set aside time everyday to work on the site. Curious Little Kid will continue to evolve without losing sight of why I started it:
“…using my blog as an online documentation of our day to day activities… celebrating what (I feel) I’m doing right and confessing my frailty in front of anyone who will listen. In addition to being a tremendous creative outlet, it’s a catalyst for personal growth. …A source of inspiration and support for other mothers.”
I’ve defined goals for Curious Little Kid to work on within the next month:
- Become more involved in the other networks of parent and/or preschool blogging
- Develop a posting schedule
- Find my niche and better define the content
- Continue to post more about the things we do, places we go and adventures we enjoy!
I Need Your Help!
While I have about 10,000 ideas bouncing around in my head (and on my computer), I need your help on what you’d like to read about. Your feedback in the comments section is always appreciated!
