CLK in the Kitchen: Ultimate Iced Coffee Recipes + GIVEAWAY
Somehow, I made it through college and my first three years of motherhood sans coffee. Crazy, I know. Don’t ask me how. Admittedly, I didn’t start drinking coffee until a couple years ago after a few dates to Starbucks. My husband (and the team of amazing baristas) have recently turned me on to the joys of coffee. Espressos, macchiatos, lattes… oh my!
Today, I still prefer cold, sweet iced coffee treats to hot cups o’ morning joe. When it comes to iced coffee, I like mine sweet. Bring on the cream and sugar! Giant Eagle Market District recently sent me some samples of their new bold flavored coffee and I knew the rich flavors would make amazing iced coffee treats. Sorry, kiddos… these are special adult treats (though my son tried to his darndest to talk me into letting him try some).
- 3 Cups Strong Coffee
- 1 Cup Heavy Cream
- ¼ Cup Sugar
Brew coffee and pour into a mixing bowl. Stir in cream and sugar. Pour the mixture into popsicle molds (I LOVE them). Allow them to chill for approximately 3 hours. Enjoy!
Iced Coffee Mudslide
- 1 Cup Coffee
- 2 Tbps Bailey’s Mudslide Creamer
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- Chocolate Syrup
Brew your coffee as desired. Allow time to chill. In a small bowl mix coffee, sugar and creamer. In a medium sized mug (I used an irish coffee mug), line the inside of the glass with chocolate syrup. Add ice and pour coffee mixture on top. Viola!
NOTE: Try freezing coffee in an ice cube tray to prevent coffee from getting watered down.
