Curious Little Kid goes to Wexford’s Starlite Car Cruise
Starlite Car Cruise: Our Friday Summer Tradition
We’ve been visiting to Starlite Car Cruise for about 2 years now. In fact, it’s becoming a regular Friday tradition this summer. Located across from the Village of Pine Plaza (you can’t miss the huge waterfall) and Sheetz, it’s something my son wishes we could do every day. The cruise is put on by North Way Christian Church and is in it’s 13th season.
Before the upper lot was closed, a typical night would bring in 1,200 to 1,500 cars and as many as 5,000 to 8,000 spectators. Although it’s slightly smaller this year, there’s still tons to see and do.
We’ve enjoyed the FREE face painting and bouncy house. You can also find food and treats galore; shaved ice, ice cream, kettle corn, BBQ, hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken fingers… all the fine American cuisine you could ask for.
With a summer schedule extending all the way through August, you still have a few Fridays to be part of the fun!
EVERY FRIDAY through AUG 30, 5:30PM-9:30PM
8/2 Mopar Night
8/9 Horse Power Night
